From the National Weather Service in Galveston Tuesday January 20th..
A powerful cold front will arrive late Friday into Saturday, bringing the coldest temperatures of the season. The cold air will overlap with some lingering moisture behind the cold front, leading to the potential for freezing rain or sleet Saturday into Sunday. This is still several days away, so please monitor the forecast for any changes. Stay weather-aware, prepare now, and consider adjusting your travel plans for the weekend.
The Cross Roads Winter Field Day Team will be monitoring WX and providing WFD updates!
The Cross Roads Ham Radio Club (W5LCR) will be operating our first Winter Field Day at George Bush Park, Pavillion #1 in West Houston, Saturday, Jan. 24 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. A hot dog lunch will be served at 12 Noon! Whether you are an experienced ham radio operator, newly licensed or unlicensed, everyone is welcome to participate and learn more about our fantastic hobby!
Talk-ins will be on the CRHRC Repeater Network: HOU (443.725+ T 110.9), KATY (443.325+ T 123.0).
